SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan and Kayah States and (2°C)above March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and about March average temperatures in Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C)in Chauk, (42°C)each in Magway, Aunglan and Bawlakhae and (41°C)each in Monywa, Kyemone, Minbu, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun, Pyay, Taunggu and Hinthada.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th March, 2020: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, Kayah and Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions.
